  Our coastal location we stand majestically guarding the entrance to Mersea Island, one of the most popular destinations in North East Essex. It’s a great place for sailing, coastal walks and unspoilt beaches and – of course – for sampling the internationally famous Colchester Native Oyster, which is farmed there.

  If you like to keep fit, we’re a stone’s throw from many sporting facilities, and if history’s your thing we’re just down the road from Colchester and its rich Roman heritage.
