500 Years of History
When you visit The Peldon Rose, you’ll enjoy the warm welcome that visitors to our Inn have enjoyed for at least 500 years. There has been an Inn on the site since at least the 15th century (and maybe as far back as 1380), but an earlier building and the pond were recorded as far back a the Domesday Book.You’ll soon see that the building and grounds are alive with history. The well pond in the garden was once used by smugglers to hide their booty.
